I witnessed a 1 mil pp sale go down just a few days back

There are lots (and lots and lots and lots) of shell accounts

Only reason Platlord took such a hit was the spreadsheet

There was a whole hell of a lot more than plat on all of his accounts collectively

His assets at one point possibly equaled more total PP than even existed on the server

Here's one thing the GMS dont want you to know:

They dont really have an RMT detection method

Why? Because its impossible to trace transactions back all the way.

Just because an empty transaction for 500k occurs doesnt mean it was necessarily RMT. It could have been an account sale, it cold have been a mule transfer, it could have been a guild bank transfer so all they can do is speculate.

There was no RMT ban wave. All they did was banned accounts linked to Platlords spreadsheets. People who bought from the other RMTers are completely safe (though I suspect some of them are directly linked to PL anyway)

not true... they may not have a system implemented but it's not as hard as you think to account for every item/cp and path it takes. using shell accounts and trying to not have patterns leaves a pattern itself. it really comes down to who really cares this much to write the algorithms to do it.

Not to mention that there are certain RMTers that would never get banned regardless of what happened

If Platlord happened to have been a certain other individual, the whole incident would have been swept under the rug

I would only do that if I got my account back.

I got screwed by Chtulu when he sold his account, the GMS banned me, he got off scott free with a fresh, new, twinked account (and he still plays fyi), so since that account was banned I have no interest in doing anything positive for this server
