Denmark has hospitals where you can do heroin to death, but if you get caught smoking weed after a long day of working (for less than min wage) if you smoke a joint you go to jail for 6 months lol.

It all balances out though, because all the responsibilities an adult would have the state does for you. So there is no reason to really get excited, or depressed enough to even want to do drugs.

There's a reason there's a term called "Civic Religion", and it's why I dislike both nationalism and patriotism.

The state doesn't need to consider the concept of God one way or the other, necessarily. I acknowledge that many states do, and certain people would like this one to.

Capitalism is about profit. That's all. God is irrelevant.

That varies. Here in Georgia, they didn't sell it on Sundays at all in most stores until like 2004 or something. Jack Daniels is made in a dry county in Tennessee. State liquor stores are a thing in many states, I don't even know if they're open on Sundays or not in some places. Alcohol laws have a long history of being a mess all over the place, and I'm guessing excise taxes vary wildly, but it's more than just Christian religions at work there.
