There could be dirt in his tax returns. But he wont release them.

If the only defense of this is "Why should he" then it seems we are in a whole new realm here.

He is the most powerful man arguably in the world now. If the worst thing people are asking him to do is show such a mundane item as tax returns I dont see the problem.

I mean you say he has commited no crimes and isnt corrupt. This will surely verify that beyond a shadow of a doubt yes? I fail to see a downside of releasing them.
I'm just curious as how many roads we have to go down until you finally get some evidence. I'm tired of "try every avenue until we get something that can stick." That in itself is a worse precedent to set than Trump evading taxes in my opinion. There are certainly things I would condemn Trump for but a wild goose chase on Russia, misogyny, racism, Ukraine, his tax returns, it goes on and on.

Hence my comment to Horza earlier about Trump being nailed to a cross for our sins. The joke sucks and doesn't have much relevance. Someone who hates Trump sees it and thinks it's hilarious and applies perfectly to his situation. It doesn't. You are are searching for reasons to hate the guy based on some hate fueled bias from the media. You literally don't even know what he's like besides through some third party.

Why this is a bad example is simple. You are not required to submit your tax returns. What you do for your own personal business might not relate to policy and it is wrong from someone to attempt to use that as a counterpoint if you have utilized tax laws to your advantage. It means you know the law. When it comes to investigating corruption, it is completely logical and within your power to hold money until you can get to the bottom of an issue. As I said, just because you are looking into someone from the other political party that might be corrupt, doesn't mean you are violating the law unless you hold it as a threat.

There's mountains of evidence of the illegalities of the Trump administration, the problem is that half of the country is currently covering their eyes while yelling loudly.

This dude is such a criminal that at any time of the day there's always new evidence of fraud being uncovered and reported. That one was 3 hours ago.

The tears when Trump wins in 2020 are going to be enormous, might even spark civil unrest.

I love how every conversation plays out the same way. Trump supporter claims some ridiculous fantasy, someone corrects them on their bullshit and the only response they can come up with is some juvenile "LUL LIBERAL TEARS 4 MORE YEARS" eyeroller.

Since you didn't actually have a substantive response to my comment, I guess you just accept the fact that the president is a criminal, and support him regardless.

My question is, when are you guys going to decide to take some autonomy over your lives and to actually start thinking for yourselves, instead of letting some old crook on the television do your thinking for you?

And when are you going to realize that everyone else around you knows that you fell victim for the world's most obvious pyramid scheme? And when do you start pretending that you didn't actually support Trump, just like you guys did with Bush once we found out that he lied to everyone to justify his little crusade in Iraq?

The joke is that your apparent messiah's crucifixion is entirely self-inflicted, what with the admitting to serious crimes on national television and frequently associating with other criminals. There's no need to angrily lash out just because the joke went over your head.

We have to impeach him to find out why he deserves it.
Just forget the impeachment, and get ready for a 2020 Trump presidency. Too many Russian conspiracy theories and Ukrainian nonsense that backfire to only strengthen his base and destroy his opponents (Biden).

Everyone in this thread: "There couldn't possibly be quid pro quo because Trump released the aid before anyone even cared about any of this."

Trump Knew There Was a Whistleblower When He Suddenly Released Military Aid to Ukraine

Uh oh! I wonder what the new spin will be now...

Yeah but what about Obama and Hillary? Stop looking at Trump and let's look at the real crime: a tan suit and Dijon mustard
