I had a client once who worked for the FBI and her job was basically to go up and down Spring Mountain Road closing these spas. She said the problem was that she has to do the detective work to gather evidence every time, which takes awhile. By the time they have enough evidence or probable cause or whatever to shut it down, the girls would just go across the street to the next business and start it up there. She was pretty nonchalant about it. I should have asked her about the trafficking stuff.

I tend to differ from most conservatives because I personally think that while sex work as a profession and someone utilizing it as a consumer, like porn, is unhealthy, I also don’t think it should be illegal
I think if it was legal and tightly regulated, it would become a lot safer for the girls involved. Would that make it completely safe and healthy? Hell no. But these are adults who should be informed exactly what they are getting themselves into with their career choice. I don’t see it as any less safe than working on an oil rig, or even being a pro football player. Pro football players know (now at least) that they are going to get slammed in the head over and over again, to the point of possible brain damage. But they can make a LOT of money in the process. Whether they see it as worth it is up to them, it’s their body after all. I just heard the story of a former pro football player who had so much brain damage he went completely insane, pulled out all his teeth with a pliers, glued them back into his head, then later tazed himself to death with a stun gun, not even trying to die, just because he was that crazy
With sex work, you are going to meet guys who are walking female repellant, guys with the social skills of a 12 year old, and guys who might become aggressive and dangerous. And you could potentially make some decent to a lot of money in the process. Whether you want to take on those risks, should the the informed choice of any adult IMO
