im trying to say if u look carefull to the screenshots u can see people using luclin+pop gear .

IB-tr did claim no aas+ no beyond velious gear but if u look carefully there is people using beyond velious items .


there is a cleric d ark elf with a shield from pop , relapsee hammer although can be the summoned one is indeed a luclin+ pop velious weapon.

u can see a hybrid with a that 2hs axe from hohb

Anyway, who cares what stuff a guild uses on another EQ server to get their kills, seriously? Unless you play with them, why bother? They have their fun the way they want, end of story.

However, the "Eqmac is more classic than p99" shouldn't even be debatted. Eqmac is not classic. But for those who don't mind Luclin & PoP, then yeah, a free, genuine EQ server is a no brainer.

P.S: I do feel p99 is not totally classic too, but it's pretty good for sure! Add server rotation for dragons pls

Yea no scroll wheel to 3rd person + autostand from sitting + classic cooldown timer are all pretty annoying to deal with on Al'Kabor vs P99

I mean they each have their harder aspects. Leveling in P99 is much more time consuming than it is on Al'Kabor. Gear however is much better on Al'Kabor obviously, which again helps with the previous leveling thing. Problem with that is that not many people sell low level gear on Al'Kabor so unless you are twinking you're gonna have some bad gear until you get 50+ and can farm plats/the gear yourself anyways.

P99 has mostly old spell values so some of those make it harder. The availability of Luclin era spells is quite handy, namely stuff like KEI makes leveling much easier and druid CHeal makes druids suck less dick on raids and high-end group content.

It really is comparing apples and oranges though. At its core Al'Kabor has more of the basic coding feature since it is truely a 2003 era server with no updates (see the 1st 3 things I mentioned). But obviously P99 has more classic content. The mechanics may not be classic (invisaggrobogus / raid varience) but the dragons and mobs are classic.

Yeah, if they want to make the raiding easier on themselves by wearing gear outside of their expansion they are raiding in i dont care. The problem is that they claim to only use gear within velious and below and yet wear tons of gear that would enable even the shittiest of raiders to beat the content they farm. Its more embarrassing for them than it is me upset about it. I dont care, but what i do care about are exploits and they are exploiting so i will continue to strike fear into the hearts and minds of anyone with that tag.
