I use a VPN unless I'm playing a game so I haven't noticed much difference but apparently if you watch a pokemon/etc video on youtube then decide to go and watch something an adult would straight after like a video on Israel/Palestine/Ukraine it can trigger for ID etc. There's so many eyebrow raising stories.

There's been a petition for a general election with over 100k signatures (not many petitions get past 10k so its definitely causing a stir).

People just want to be left alone but the government can't stop encroaching on people's lives. Keir Starmer is arguably the weakest PM (thats been elected from a general election) since Neville Chamberlain (the guy who didn't want to go to war with Hitler in 1939).

He hasn't stopped the migrant boats (we have a military that's getting paid, it could process/assess offshore), he took the winter fuel allowance away from the elderly who can't afford to heat their homes when it gets to freezing temperatures, and now this rushed Online Safety Act just makes him look even more out of touch with voters. As always the alternatives to him wouldn't be much better [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Someone got arrested for the dildo throw, the first one afaik, and I suspect they're gonna get roasted in the courts and the media. Should bring out a lot of haters and white knights on the various sides of axe grinders here, so get your popcorn.

A person accused of throwing a sex toy onto the court during the Golden State Valkyries' 77-75 victory over the Atlanta Dream last week has now been charged with several offenses. Delbert Carver was arrested on Saturday, August 2, and booked at the Clayton County Jail in Jonesboro, Georgia.

Who is Delbert Carver?

Carver is 23 years old and has been booked on counts of disorderly conduct, public indecency/indecent exposure, and criminal trespass. However, he was released on an undisclosed bond on Sunday, August 3. Clayton County court records obtained by USA Today said that the case is "pending," and a court date has yet to be determined.

This is just like that scene in robinhood when they are upset about the kings deer or something.

the tech companies are basically at war with UK/Euro zone if it wasn't for that market and their consumer protection rules the internet/our rights would already be greatly diminished.
