Yeah I didn't notice they distribute the client. I'm patched and logged in a temp char that I just deleted. Client looks quite different from what I remember.. but I haven't played since the initial release. Only played DAoC for a few months when it first came out so everything looks pretty much brand new and I don't remember much from the game besides basic gameplay. I have vent skype MSN and AIM which I'm pretty much connected to 24/7 so let me know whats going on when things get closer to starting Scrooge.

I played on the game's release back at the end of 2001 as well, they def improved the interface and graphics big time. I wish SOE would've done the same for EQ, but that'll never happen. If you'd like to get more familiar with the realm we'll be playing in [Albion], feel free to make a char and mess around with it.

As for some classes being disabled and the server being buggy, you gotta remember that its a CLASSIC server, like Project 1999 is CLASSIC EQ. If disabled classes and a few bugs here and there is your definition of broken, then every active MMORPG that exists is broken, cause they all get patched.

My suggestion is, try the game with our group before passing judgement, you got nothing to lose.

We'll most likely meet on IRC [Windows IRC Client: www.mirc.com] (IRC Server: irc.eqemulator.net, chan: #uthgard), to meet outside the game before we start so we can plan our playtimes and what kinda group we'll be making, who will be playing what etc.

If you need help or have more questions, feel free to ask.

Well they did do a few UI updates throughout the first few expansions and upgraded graphics with luclin.. but it sucked pretty hard IMO lol

Yeah I noticed classes/races were restricted, but thats obviously going to happen with a classic server. As far as bugs, I don't know which ones exist since I haven't started playing yet. Certainly not broken from what I can tell

When are we going to meet on IRC?

Btw, if my bro wants to play, do I need to apply for an IP exemption? I just read no buff bots, but didn't see anything about applications for multiple log-ins

1) Basically most of the SI classes are enabled, but all the original classes are 100% in and working as they should. In fact the only SI class disabled is the Necromancer in Albion, which isn't that big a deal tbh. Bonedancer in Midgard is implemented for the most part, except for the pet spec. Other than that everythings working like it should. Obviously there aren't going to be any Catacombs classes enabled on a classic server.

2) We will probably start our IRC meetings tonight around 8pm EST. Though I'll be in the channel earlier.

3) You are correct, there is a no boxing rule just like on P99, you will need to get an excemption. I forgot what steps need to be taken for it but I'm sure we'll solve that issue soon.

Quick Update: Just to give you guys an idea of how many people will be playing together under the P99 banner; so far we have 7 people interested in creating this crew in Albion. Might have more at the time we actually start our chars.

Well, it's not a official server and all the admins are just doing this from theyr own free time so yeah some stuff dont work.

Easy solution = dont play.
Better solution = try it out and then comment.

You just did!

My bad about last night's meeting, I got held up IRL; ran into a friend I haven't seen in over a year. I'll be on IRC any time I'm online though, we'll get this going real soon.
