To expand on this a simple analogy would be facial attractiveness

Now we all know people personally or of famous people who have very attractive faces. I’ve known one or two, and there exists some, who have no idea how objectively good looking they would be rated by others. Generally these sorts are seen as kind of like a unicorn, because in my experience both with people I know and famous people, the majority of attractive people, ESPECIALLY the very attractive, have a relatively good idea of how much it helps their interactions with people. And thus they tend to act more confident in a lot of social situations due to that knowledge

Did they earn it? Is it fair? Is it as good as the type of confidence someone would get by winning the Olympics or raising a child into a great adult person? Fuck no

Does it mean that the attractive person should just rely on only that for the rest of their life? Hellll no, but so many do. Because it’s such a handy and convenient reservoir

The fact I am acknowledging these reservoirs exist is not me saying that an attractive person shouldn’t grow a personality or accomplish goals not based on their looks. That’s completely stupid especially because looks fade in addition to looks being a cheap unearned form of status (facial anyway, physiques you work for)

So anyway, to try to deliberately ignore the things that are helping you is maybe admirable but dumb, since that does not need to become an excuse to not better oneself

Facial attractiveness is pretty related to physique too though. You get fat everywhere equally. It's shocking how many people still think you can burn fat in specific areas. You can gain muscle in specific areas, but you can't target fat loss.

I've known many a lass who looked beautiful at 120 and then they got married and had kids and suddenly their face isn't so pretty at 180.
