I mean, having managed the DKP and been an officer of Dark Ascension, I can comfortably say that most people saw their first piece of raid boss encounter loot in a reasonable amount of time. It's not like there are 500 people attending raids. Much less 100. And then divide that by the number of classes, and you have a handful of raids until you DO get loot.

Also helps that TMO is actually killing things that drop loot.

Being in queue with loot inc > being in queue with no loot inc.
