Put yourself on the other side of the fence. If The Mystical Dark Ascension Fusion Blew the Fuse Order or whatever they're calling themselves now had a dev in the guild, TR would be crying blood every time a decision was made that even slightly favored them.

Devs/GMs/guides/moderators are going to play the game and they're likely going to be in raiding guilds. Like I said, it's natural in an emulated server and should be expected but it also breeds a sense of "OMFG FAVORITISM," which this server isn't immune from.

There were guides/GMs/mods in guilds before and there still are, the issue of favoritism is something that's extremely touchie when people devote so many hours to this crap and the gms/devs/guides try hard not to sway towards their own guild's side. Outting their names and being transparent about it doesn't help and it's quite clear why Uth would get so uppity about that little prank.

Hypothetical situation: Could it be that you were confident they'd get caught one day and you guys wouldn't, because you have a dev in the guild? Sort of a sense of security that, one day, they'd get their comeuppance?

And sure enough, they did! 3 full weeks total of raid suspensions. I don't remember IB/TR getting any raid suspensions for doing similar things that DA did.

Just food for thought really. That, and I'm feeling confrontational today.

Honestly, this whole GM favoritism stuff *for the most part* isn't even coming from the raiding guilds. Sure, Durison/Veric/Aadill have flipped some shit in the past over like that mob in perma pathing (which didn't REALLY favor anyone and was repaired the very next patch), however, for the most part it is people like Anger or Yendor just fueling the fire with these posts concerning a portion of the game they don't even really participate in (to my knowledge at least).

The issue here shouldn't be TR having some fun and trolling the competition - that is part of competition just like them calling us Transgendered Ragequiters in their last update... how many petitions did you get about that? My guess would be zero. The issue, as someone said earlier in this thread is these thin skinned cry babies that have to petition every time they felt they have been the butt of a joke or dealt a mild injustice.

If people weren't such vaginas about everything maybe Uth wouldn't be so high strung.

LOL TR... come on here. The issue is clearly that you are making things tougher on the devs/guides to promote server health/growth, yet your spin/misdirection is merely "Stop policing our guild web page!!"?

In fact, you're only making it tougher on yourselves, as it is going to be more difficult for the guides/GMs to decide on anything in your favor without furthering the perception of favoritism on the server.

Then, playing off that fact, you proudly announced on your guild recruitment thread that players with GM/guide/dev accounts are preferred... although a joke, it's essentially flaunting the fact you've got Xzerion in your guild. Doesn't really do wonders for perceptions about the server, possible inside info, etc.

To be honest this part really annoys me. like...significantly. people already have a tear-stained cry towel of GM favoritism that has TR embroidered on it and you want to make it worse so that any time there is a camp or raid dispute and you win, we can hear the bitching and for the next several days we can get petitions and tells of 'how is this fair?'

So we should take it in the ass and let people talk all the shit they want about us without any kind of return trolling because if we do WE'RE the ones making life hard on you? How about you just tell the people complaining to quit crying instead of making it our fault. Like you said people are gullible, they'll believe whatever they want or their raid guild friends tell them after raging over losing out on a mob. I don't see how its our responsibility to try to change people's minds for them so that youll get a lower amount of petitions after every raid mob spawn.
