Will there be any notification as to why the sudden merge? Teal was created because when folks were on green, it was resting over 1,000 concurrent users. Which was deemed too much by the staff, hence teals creation. Now during off-hours, server pop is 1300ish, and during peak, it will undoubtedly be in the 1500-1750 range. Is this sustainable? It's hard enough on teal to find camps at 50 to do anything, everything is camped. Now you've double the population before anyone was ready, and its a literal shit show trying to find things to do.

I've been playing on this server since 2009 and this is by far the worst decision the staff have made. Extremely disappointed to see the staff make a decision which makes the daily life of every single player significantly worse.

Multiple servers is classic. This is straight up bad for the health of the community and server population. More drama, more competition over fewer mobs, more petitions, more wasted time of the guides and GMs in resolving player disputes. Not everyone enjoys the competitiveness and toxicity of the raid scene, and this effectively makes every camp and zone much more hotly contested. It will drive people away from the server. I'm sure that wasn't the intent, but it's what the result will be.

Today most players know the optimal equipment and camps for their class, and those that don't find out easily through one of the multiple guides available in the wiki. That is why 600 felt crowded on Teal. Since I don't have the data that the team does, I can't constructively criticize their decision. All I can say is that I already had to compete for every piece of content so far, and having more people around doesn't exactly make me hopeful of having a better time in the future.

The project has yet to experience that critical mass of player exodus where the management is forced to consider the opinions/feedback of the community. The server works brilliantly as a nostalgia fix and gaming museum, especially with good friends...
Most healthy people, even the biggest history/art nerds don't try to turn their favourite trip down memory lane into some kinda obsession with all waking hours at their favourite museum in the world. The ones that do fall in love with a particular museum and are decently well adjusted individuals may get a job or volunteer there. In many other cases, they will turn their passion into many different facets of their life but still have a life outside their favourite museum or style of art/architecture, time in history etc. There are many ways to have to have Everquest and P99 as part of a well-balanced and healthy diet of life activities, heck even among many games wirh friends if y'all just love video games or have an addiction or intense love of games like I sometimes do. Enjoy and love P99 as the nostalgia gaming museum it is, don't take the peer pressure from the unhealthy shut-ins in some of the high end guilds and let them convert you into one of them.

Do not take the sniveling too hard I understand why the servers were merged, Green was supposed to be one server and the combined population is now what is was expected to be from the get go
