i played until about lvl 57 before finding out most of the people that claim to be new are actually the 10th or more reroll from some guy

at the same time i found out the whole "new guild thing" was just a cover for cliques that were trying to improve their own position and didn't give a fuck about anything besides that and blackholing loot / awarding it to "new guy" theirpal

also boxing was rampant, can't imagine it being any other way, the one time i pressed the issue with the staff member serving at the time, i got told i'd get banned if i kept it up

casual players can't generate any income besides raw plat, the economy doesn't allow it since there is very little if any demand for 99% of all items

that was years ago, can't imagine in what a sad state the server must be now

i wasted my time on this essay so people don't waste their time on r99

They consolidated all the hate into one thread, deleted posts, moved the red recruitment thread from blue to red but kept the thread about Red being wiped on the Blue threads.
It's almost like they are ashamed of one of their servers.

Considering wow is going to have a smashing success of a classic server, I would expect both red and blue will be shut down in the near future.

Here's to hoping daybreak hires nil to manage the sure to come official daybreak 1999 server, after they shut this one down.

i forgot to mention how certain staff members seem to love r99, they treat it like their pet and really do try to take good care of it

unfortunately r99 didn't survive being tied to a tree and left to fend for itself for months on end, repeatedly
