i agree but it's worst on monk botb because everyone is using 9/9 epic fists

you can at least half-assed joust in other ones because of high delay 2handers and backstab

epic fists with self buffed haste has a delay of 9; with no sow/jboots, there is absolutely no chance of any jousting to be done when you literally can just keep auto attack on the whole time and still hit people who try to move in/out of attack range

it's going to simply be a gear check to see who has more hit points

my suggestion is to give everyone sow or let them use their jboots, and let them use any weapon other than tstaff/shuriken of the tranquil

or, just give everyone an ifs and then remove them after the fights are over

the fights would be a lot quicker and the better player will almost certainly win

I've gotta go with this, Pretty much nailed it dead on. I understand the reasoning for no tstaff, But no weapons all together? This fight will play out almost exactly how this man said it would. It comes down to a HP check if your using epic fists vs fists. The delay is so quick its nonstop attack, There is no skill required in this. I would wager that the better geared monk with higher hp/ac(VP geared) would come out on top 8 times out of 10 only losing due to RNG.

Maybe give IFS, Hell even quivering staff a chance for 2h and let people decide if they want their epic fists or a 2h weapon. Any smart monk is going to chose 2h to joust. epic fist vs fist is simply going to be people going in circles trying to get as many attacks off from around the side/back end to avoid as few riposte/block/dodge/parries as possible to land more hits. I was going to sign up for this, I still may just for fun even though im not 60 and lack the superior gear others have over me but at least in jousting I would stand a chance vs a superior geared, higher level monk where as current rules I would just be entering to be punching bag warm up. Please re consider the rules for monks if anything pull 2 60 monks together and watch them duke it out current botb rule style.

One guild has been farming VP for month. The rest of server has killed Trakanon twice?

One guild can raid with 30-40 at 2pm on a Tuesday to clear all the server repops. Rest of the server comes home after work hoping to contest with their 4 guild alliance (dentists/azrael/force/curse), realizes that everything has already been killed and logs off.
