im honestly worried at this point, they wouldnt care. they arent doing this to tell the story written by GRRM anymore. they made that abundantly clear last season, and even more so with what ive seen and read about upcoming season 5. lots of fan service this season incoming.

I'm just going to bury my head in the sand and appreciate it for what it is. If this goes the way of the Hobbit I'm gonna be sad.

i have a feeling grrm will either change them significant or just include much more details than the show did.

maybe he'll die and brandon sanderson can come in and finish writing the books just he did for robert r jordon?

I would be okay with that honestly, Sanderson did a great job with the series. (I know someone on these boards thinks otherwise and heatedly at that, we'll see if he bites) I really do think Sanderson did a good job though.

In the last book, Bao the Wylde (literally the dumbest fucking name I have ever seen in a fantasy book) has a full circle of what? 64 channelers? The obvious expectation is that the good guys are going to meet this full circle with a full circle of their own. Instead, we get a procession of non-channelers challenging him to single combat. I honestly believe he ran out of material and slapped the final book together to get it over with.

at this rate grrm wont need to change anything, hbo is doing that just fine. and yea, the show cuts a lot of shit (dreams, characters, entire sub plots, etc). its surely worth the read.

and dont worry, if he dies ill finish them for you guys.
