Two weekends ago I spent a day cruising through PA, stopping at both Troegs and Victory. Among other brews I picked up, were a few bottles of the Flying Mouflan.

Unlike everyone else, I don't have pictures of unusual fringe beers which I tried once on holiday 4 years ago but which I am now claiming to always keep stocked in my fridge, so my contributions to this thread:

Guinness is horrible. And not just the filthy bottled kind, the draft kind too. That probably goes for any kind of stout but Guinness is the only one I've tried.

I remember when Corona was unheard of in the UK. In places like New Mexico you could buy it for 60 cents a bottle when other beers were $3. All of a sudden it took off and this stuff you wouldn't douche with is now sold in the UK as if it's some kind of premium beer.

Like many, I am an anti-American-beer snob, but have to say I really like Sam Adams. Pretty much every seasonal brew as well as the regular. I always have it in my fridge along with Magners cider.

When I'm in Canada I drink Keith's or Rickard's Red. When I'm in the UK I drink draft Boddy's because I am a victim of their cool advertising.

There, now that was interesting wasn't it.

I used to buy beer.

Now I just make my own. Notice my pretentious 'See how much ass I kick by making my own beer' stance?

BTW this was an Urqell Pilsner that I lagered for about 3 months. I liked it, and so did my friends that tried it.

I spend more time picking out my beer every weekend than I do dressing myself for work combined M-F.

Going to go ahead and necro this glorious thread with:

Went to Sunset Grille in Brighton this past weekend, they have something like 400 beers on tap, and found out Allagash makes this incredible stout.
Never tried that, but I like the simple, understated label. I doesn't look like a cartoon, like most of the micro brews.

Considering how often I drink beer (not often) this is exactly what you'll find in my fridge. It's not about being pretentious. It's about not liking the usual rotgut stuff.

My new fav:

Same here! I enjoy picking out what I am going to drink.
I am not pretentious and I don't consider myself a beer snob. I just like the taste of beer and I like trying different styles, flavors, and types.

Many places now offer a "build your own 6 pack" deal where you can pick out each bottle you want in the sixer from shelves and shelves of tasty beers. Sometimes it can be hit or miss, but that's part of the fun [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

At first I was skeptical because of all the hype, but Hopslam lives up to it. The honey is an incredible touch with the aroma-hopping

A cup of coffee in a beer. Easily my favorite imperial stout.
