You may as well say "2020s comedy isn't as good as 2040's comedy because James Corbin / Big Bang Theory didn't rock the boat or make people think"

George Carlin and Johny Carson rocked the boat and made people think.

Eddy Murphy Raw is literally as funny and as anything Dave Chappelle or LCK has ever done.

It's fucking so stupid to be like, LCK is the king of comedy. Fuck that, he is the king of comedy of THIS generation, and he's an old fat greedy loser for the next.

We had music that was about something.

Now literally it's punk rock to be young and wear crocks and be a K-pop star.

You literally _cannot_ be cool anymore.

There is no such thing as any subculture that is actually "cool".

The coolest subculture is about listening to music from a guy who's dating a kardashian.

The most cutting edge rock musician has music in car commercials and Disney movies.

To be "anti establishment" you have to like billionaires and republicans.

It's a pathetic time to be alive if you like creative shit.

George Carlin was literally the Seinfield of his day pre acid and the WBAI incident over the 7 words. dude just jumped on a trend that was already in motion so he wouldn't have to wear a suit and tie at work anymore.

and even this act (cause he had a partner at the time Burns and Carlin) was a rip off of all the other duo acts prior.

why he ended up being the poster boy for nihilism for 25 years at the end of his career.

comedians that don't suck shit can fit in a VW bug and you already named 3 of them.

I totally disagree with this gen Z take on comedy.

I was there. It took carlin 30 years of developing a character that hadn't been on the comedy scene before.

He came from classic educated comedy (writers that went to harvard and yale that wrote funny limierks and joke lotr books because edgy humor was SO FUCKING FRESH back then that it hadn't even been done before).

You're totally wrong on this take.

That's only if you are holding them all to modern standards.

It's the same as saying special effects in the 1980s sucked because they didn't use computers.

Or Artists today are bad because they didn't know how to use AI.

You're just being a victim of generational brainwashing here.

Next thing you know youll be like, "crocks and DEI are punk rock because punk rock has always been about inclucivity."

you're projecting a bunch of zoomer hate on a 38 year old.

>James Corbin / Big Bang Theory
fucking hate both.

>It's the same as saying special effects in the 1980s sucked because they didn't use computers.
i hate cgi and basically anything made in the last 25 years. practical effects are good.

bladerunner and dune from the 80s are better than the new ones.

i have a 1965 Michael Caine movie playing on my other monitor.

Boomers:

Started listening to jazz & blues music (first punk rock of the western world).

Invented Rock & Roll by mashing up jazz, country, and the blues.

Invented Electronic music and Disco.

Invented Rap Music.

Gen X and beyond:

Limp Biskit.

Mumble rap.

Differnt BPM electro.

There hasn't been a new genera of music for the last 3 "generations".

That's another sign that creativly we suck now.
