Alawen, you seem to have a good perspective at times but I bet you would be right there with the assholes you now despise if they were to throw you some gear every once in a while, and leave out someone else instead.

You'd lose that bet. The last piece of vermiculated both Prospect and I needed was the gloves. When they dropped, I told him to take them. He'd been very anxious about them for some time. He insisted we roll. I won.
There was a dispute over the second Mistwalker and I thought it should be held by Blaine because he was the most active druid at the time and what was important with that item was for it to be online. It adds unbelievable melee dps to every fight for every druid in attendance and it needs to be passed around.
There was a Vox kill where two eyepatches dropped. I asked Xzerion what tells he was getting and he said only two and they were both recent members and I'd get one if I asked, but I declined because of the druid quest mask from sky which we expected to be released shortly afterwards. If there were no good tells, I would have worn one until sky.
When the first treant tear dropped, Mellyn got very excited and I told her she could have it if it were important to her. She insisted we both send tells. It was awarded to me because she had received a bone-clasped girdle that week. I raided sky on live and I knew how common that drop was, though admittedly a very nice druid item.
When the rare piece for the druid mask dropped, I likely would have received it if I'd asked, but I was extremely disgusted with the behavior of the guild and certain officers both internally and externally. I congratulated the other druid on the raid, send the loot officer, who had recently been a total asshole to me, a tell to fuck off and logged out.
The loot award that upsets me the most is that Glitch never received a BCG. He earned it many times over.
I know I'm being painted as a loot whore in this thread, but that's not a very accurate description. I've been on endless planar clears long after there were any upgrades left for me. I've spent countless hours tracking gods and dragons who had no drops for me. I've been in exactly one guild on Project 1999. I leveled both a cleric and a ranger alt to 50 specifically to help the guild.
Loyalty is a two-way street. If it's not going both ways, it ends.
