I think the part i like most is having a game i like and not being forced to deal with hateful half-insane cave dwellers like eslade, swyft, littlegyno, gaffin, that are a significant portion of the population here.

If you try to straight grind levels and u hate quest hubs like any sane person, ur in for pain. Took me a little under 4 days to hit 50 and I'm so glad its over and I can actually sail around and gank or work on building my mansion.

best way to progress is to make sure you spend your labor and do stuff like get a farm or house, hit the dungeons to distract u from quest grind.

No way around it, this was about as bad as a game launch can get. My personal favorite was fucking with the authentication servers Monday night and causing massive lag in-game due to network changes in preparation for the free to play launch yesterday. Nothing like fucking paying customers out of head start time to prep for the Chinese gold farmers.

But if you remember back in the day, EverQuest had one of the worst game launches in the history of MMORPGs when not only way the game borderline unplayable with 500+ pings and 30-40% packet loss for the first week, but they destroyed the internet in the San Diego area by overloading it.
