Not that I disagree with any of the content of the article (since I stopped reading at the error), but there is a misuse of the contraction "it's" in the 5th paragraph. That doesn't impress me as a scholarly, peer-reviewed standard.

For the tl;dr retards out there: fluoride is good in your toothpaste, but don't ingest it, particularly in large amounts.

I read the NIH article. It's badly written but it makes sense. I'm guessing proper pH is critical to good teeth. And fluoride helps build enamel.

What was particularly striking was the prevalence of fluoride in Camellia sinensis L.

Flouride's also really good at oxidizing stainless steel when mixed with nitric acid.
