i have never really understood what was so popular about Metal music, most of the time you cannot understand the vocals. The bands usually sound good but that sort of just yelling in a microphone is dumb

metal is alot more than just screaming and distortion. one of the things i love about metal is that it can incorporate so many different influences and still be "metal." most metal fans have some background in music or songwriting and can appreciate this complexity. the simple minded however usually just shoe-horn it as noisy garbage.metal is about freedom both musically and spiritually. with that said, heres some non-screaming metal for you

Also, any Lamb of God fans that have not heard already, Randy is acquitted of all charges and has returned home to the U.S. to make more pure American fucking metal. Can't wait until the next album and see what they do after their last post-apocalyptic album. Hopefully they redo their tour with Dethklok and Gojira, my date was set two weeks before he was called back to Czechoslavakia and was cancelled immediately after.
