Item loot and leaderboards would only serve to hurt this server.
Theres just not enough hardcore to stomach losing their gear. Period. Leaderboards are only going to tend to a system of more chaos, less order. People will be trolling only in search of people to farm kills off of instead of actually playing EQ. I think everyone should be able to play the way they want, but encouraging people to just grief without any balance will prevent any growing sense of community. Thats the biggest thing thats been lacking on this server, and not classic.
