And it depends on the wizards mana pool. so if the wiz had 50% mana, nope it wouldn't one shot you, but if the wiz had 100% mana and was decked out gear wise you were most likely dead.

Manaburn was from Luclin AA, not planes.

Also, in theory you're right. However, wizard manapool was much larger than warrior HP pool. For all practical purposes, manaburn was a 1 shot on PCs.

One of my most fun characters was a naked enchanter when they limited nukes to a % of your total hps. My base hp was about 1k, so I could take something like 5 manaburns in a row without dying due to all my self runes.

they implemented the 75% and 40% dmg cap far past the days of manaburn

I know because I quit after the launch of LDON when SKs were still one shotting casters
