Steroids are fucked up. I think a lot of guys (esp. before 30) get curious to see how well they can do. Then they start talking to steroid users and dealers...steroid dealers make a shitload of money I might add.

The strategy is paint this bleak image of how impossible the guy is without steroids -- and convince him everyone is doing them. All those strong guys you ever met? Yep, all on roids!

Even though the estimate roid usage is like 30% of bodybuilders -- heavily weighted toward the professional scene.

It's like any other drug. It catches up with you and you should avoid it. But I'm sure it feels good to become a super strong version of yourself while its happening. Seems like there is always a downfall though. Some kind of health crash where they go to shit.
The health crash is just from stopping all tesosterone replacement therapies and failing to recover from steroid use.

If you keep using appropriately you can be Vince McMahon in his 50's and 60's and now 70's.

Just about responsible use. Its definitely a huge burden. The gel converts to estrogen at a rapid rate, so you are stuck pinning every week.

Theres a new ester that only has to be injected every 30 days but the ester is so heavy I think its worthless....its patented in Europe and marketed in Germany/Holland/etc.

Obviously making any change to the body has risks TRT or geared up. Most BB'ers only need testosterone to compete contrary to popular belief...along with a lil insulin. GH is just for recovery and tissue quality it doesnt build strength or mass studies have proven it as a fact.

Good shit, pal. I'm excited for you. I'll be travelling this weekend / next week but will be back at it the following week. My body could definitely use the week off. I've been able to keep myself injury free for almost a year and a half now. I want to keep it that way.

I agree with him to a certain extent. It’s much harder to put in some serious work than to inject yourself or take a pill. You could put up a good argument that two people training the same exact way, one using steroids, one not, the one using steroids will have a competitive edge. I do believe one day it’s going to be nearly impossible to get away with using any steroids due to awareness and diagnostic testing. You would most likely have to start in high school, which many do, unless they’re testing for it earlier now. I’m not sure about that.

The biggest deterrent to me are the long term side effects. Anabolic steroids are horrible for your body. I would say the majority of anabolic steroid users don’t think about the consequences. And if they do think about it, a lot of them are already balls deep into their professional careers and they’re stuck with a tough choice.

For me there’s also a sense of pride in knowing I’ve been able to reach certain goals and look good without steroid use. Just a lot of hard work with diet and training. I don’t judge anyone who does though. Just be very careful and know what you’re doing to your body long term.

I marvel that Arnold has lived as long as he has. I guess they say he took much smaller doses of steroids compared to what competitive bodybuilders do now, but still I wonder how much damage his body took.

Why do humans have to ruin everything with god damn steroids anyway.

Arnold and his fucking "no regrets" -- well thanks asshole.

Thanks for pointing out how awesome it is to use steroids and how there was no lasting effects you regret to everyone.

I guess it would have been too much to ask for something along the lines of: "I'm sorry I was sitting there smiling and posing and getting a bunch of credit for an accomplishment I didn't really do."

It's not like today. It's not like they are all doing it it his era. It was mostly him -- he was the god damn roid guy. He knows hes doing this shit no one else knows about -- taking the credit. That's completely fucked up.

Just like steroids. And there are waaaay more stories about people getting messed up on steroids (or barely using them and backing in time) than people using them to get huge and having a nice little successful life forever.

Keep in mind the professionals using steroids these days have whole god damn teams managing them. If you don't have a team -- I don't care what you say -- it's god damn dangerous.

It just sucks to know everyone in fighting leagues etc... is fucking on the super human juice and playing stupid. No wonder we have such a dishonest society. Everyone's hiding some kind of illegal advantage.

Edit: The reason I was dead wrong about Arnold BTW is because I got mixed up between "Everything in the Arnold and later is all steroids" and thought it was that Arnold was the last era without lots of steroids. It was picking right around the Arnold era -- but it still wasn't as big. This is all academic to me its not like I'm in the sport. It should have been obvious with that picture the more I look though.

Creatine is awesome, but not for what most people use it for. It will not make you stronger and barely swells the muscles to such a small point it is not noticeable. What it does do and does very well is cut down recovery time and reduce muscle soreness. That is if you stay properly hydrated.

Wrong.

Creatine helps you combat fatigue, allowing you to pump out extra reps, which will actually destroy your muscles even more. It doesn’t help with recovery time or soreness.
