This is a pvp server, you don't get to /duel to be ready, your body needs to be ready the minute you log in. If you let a player sneak up on you that is an indication of how poor your pvp skills are.

Situation and terrain awareness are a huge part of pvp skill. I can give you tons of screenshots of better geared toons who attacked me first and died...
