human phenotype science should be mainstream, it would make all the race bullshit go away overnight then they couldn't use it to divide us

i love how the actual climate conscious approach would be to repair and restore old cars and not build millions of new EV ones with rare earf elements and everything else

everywhere should be like cuba with 1950s cars still driving around.

and if you don't know how to drive stick, you wallk.

driving stick in 2025 is so dumb. I *could* just have a normal car where the gas pedal makes it go and the brake pedal makes it stop, but I think instead I'll introduce some weird 3rd pedal you constantly have to push in and out with your left foot every single god damn time you want to stop moving or start moving. Brilliant.

No stick is antiquated and old because we have things called automatic transmissions now. Cars are insanely dangerous and should be as easy to drive as possible.

I don't want to worry about rolling backward into the front bumper of every single other car on the road if I have to stop on a slight incline.

I learned to drive with stick and had a manual for like 10yrs

Advantages:

Faster off the line, if you want to, because you can choose to redline before a gear shift (although some sportscar automatics have a mode that does this as well)

Slightly better gas mileage if you are paying attention and shifting as early as possible

Nowadays no one could steal your car because no one knows how to drive it

Disadvantages:

As cider said, inclines are annoying AF

Stop and go driving is annoying AF

Trying to eat while driving and working a stick is annoying AF

All in all, to me the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. My truck is the ONLY in existence for a mid size that offered a manual and despite knowing how to drive it I still went with automatic
