Tis'but a number! And only a number!

if you are not ingesting raw greens enough you wont accomplish much, its your biggest source of vitamins and energy

you are probably taking more then double the protein and carbs you need

spinach is just one green and unless your growing it yourself I wouldn't bother

all commercially purchased vegetables have almost nothing in them because they use growth hormones to make it grow faster so it can be marketed further from where its grown.
You can tell the difference between the Morroccan and Spanish tomatoes sold here. They are sold same price and packaging by ASDA but with only a small difference on the packaging; in the country of origin field. The Spanish ones are just like orbs of water; as if they've been forced to swell quickly without the chance to absorb/develop anything of nutritional value. The Morroccan ones are a little better.

Having grown up with this situation, that is just how I thought tomatoes were; watery and without flavour.

When I moved to Greece the street markets were the most affordable source of veg. The fruit there was grown traditionally; in an irrigated sunny field on the vine until ripe. Direct from farmer to consumer.

These tomatoes were bursting with incredible flavour, and it opened my eyes to the fact corporate mega farms have pulled the wool over consumers eyes, having discovered how to grow 'tomato' quickly and cheaply, but with absolutely zero nutritional or culinary value.

The worst part is the awful tomatoes in the UK aren't even that cheap.

He's either just trolling in this thread or intellectually disabled. And I think everyone else is starting to realize it as well. So yea that's the end of him.

except instead of random anons its a shark attack of a small clique that posts here all the time. so he's doubly fucked.

Yeah he seems to be all or none on the health thing... "grow your own food, or don't be healthy at all" is what i got from his last post.. I'd hate to think there is a happy medium..

Totally could, herbs we grow now.. Well we just moved so it's still a pile of dirt on the deck.. But they will grow! Veggies though.. That's tough, in a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 dogs, i don't have the space to grow any significant amount of veggies for what i must consume in a day. So at that point i figure why do it at all [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Plus, a green thumb.. I do not have.
