Only 10% of Americans have read 1984. It is surprisingly short (under 400 pages), and actually a romance novel in it's own right.

If you have never read the book in its entirety. I really do recommend it. The romance is very alluring.

Here is a free PDF version https://www.planetebook.com/free-ebooks/1984.pdf

Quote:
“The ideal set up by the Party was something huge, terrible, and glittering—a world of steel and concrete, of monstrous machines and terrifying weapons—a nation of warriors and fanatics, marching forward in perfect unity, all thinking the same thoughts and shouting the same slogans, perpetually working, fighting, triumphing, persecuting—three hundred million people all with the same face.”
They do not ever see themselves as the persecutors.

Quote:
“There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always—do not forget this, Winston—always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—forever. War is a way of shattering to pieces, or pouring into the stratosphere, or sinking into the depths of the sea, materials which might otherwise be used to make the masses too comfortable, and hence, in the long run, too intelligent.”
Do not forget, the war with covid is now over, we are now, and have always been at war, with the FLU

“We will continue to be your single source of truth,” and that, “Unless you hear it from us, it is not the truth.”
Oh, that was not from 1984, but literally the NZ prime minister, part of the " Youth " trained by TPTB

I'm hostile to 1984 because it's overreferenced by tards on the computer.

Most referenced and debated by people who have never read the book. Its a beautiful piece of literature, not because of the dystopian future it describes, but because of the love story and character introspection.

The 1984 said, "if there was hope, it must lie in the proles..."

Truffula trees used in masks leave fibers in your lungs.
