Strickland was like a 6:1 underdog which is insane, it's not like he has no track record. Pereira beat strickland, izzy beat pereira (after also losing twice), then strickland beats izzy. They're clearly all capable of winning against the other two on the right night.
I think izzy was way overconfident, plus it was super short notice which handicaps the guy who had been training for a specific opponent. Also I just like that his last name is Strickland like the principle from back to the future. That name commands authority

Best quote from Sean Strickland regarding Izzy’s love for anime:

Just could not get through that “Philly defense” stance or whatever Stickland had, apparently the same as what Money Mayweather Jr used to use in boxing
That and got really rattled by the near-knockout by Strickland at the end of round 1 But like one commentator I heard said “everyone loves a redemption story” in regards to Izzy coming back a more complete fighter

The right straight that rattled Izzy and almost cost him the fight right there

Fight where the rampaging force that is Islam easily de-throned the champion
Will the upcoming re-match be any different? I'm gonna go AGAINST my gut (since with MMA my gut is usually wrong) and say yes. I think Oliveira knocks out Islam on the feet in the rematch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

Pound for pound #1 in the world vs pound for pound #2 in the world
Alexander Volkanovski, who was undefeated in the UFC, on a 12 fight win streak, switched weight classes to take on Islam Volkanovski, a complete fighter with no flaws, is the only person to stop Islam’s wrestling in its tracks and make the man finally appear human. But alas, still lost https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=

Tough to know what to do here
You would think just comply, but I’ve seen a decent amount of Tru Crime vids where the thief shoots a compliant captive after they get what they want Luckily the thief solved it for the guy by being a moron (as most thieves are): https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=

Exactly if they're desperate enough to rob in the first place who the hell knows what they're capable of. I remember seeing some old ring footage or something of a dude walking his dog and he gets held up and the dude checks his pockets and he has nothing and he shoots him anyway.

He went for a jog early in the morning (like 4-5am-ish) and a store security camera caught a guy in a hood following him off-screen. Some thief/gangster who had already killed someone earlier that day held him up at gunpoint and since the guy jogged with no personal items, the angry thief shot him If I recall his wife or gf had to accidentally drive to the scene to find out on her way to something. But the details are hazy now on that case. Caught the thief easily later
