His comments basically follow the same path: 1. Have mentally unstable insane freak out on an Internet forum, 2. Get called out and/or made fun of for said freak out, 3. Write response comment trying to sound all tough, cite military service etc., 4. People talk shit back to him and point out his lies about his military service, 5. Revert to step 1 and begin cycle all over again.

Admittedly I’ve only been on these forums since 2018, but I honestly have never seen anyone who has come nearly as close to being as insane and unstable as this guy. It’s really kind of amazing. I guess it’s good to have our eyes open that crazy people like this person actually do exist.

Side note, there are a couple of people on this thread who sound like legit people with military experience. The Surgeon is one such example. Recondojoe sounds like a guy who decided to create a tough guy persona for himself online in the hopes of getting the respect he doesn’t receive in real life, so he googled/researched different things about the military, bought patches, etc. with the goal of sounding/appearing knowledgeable enough about it that nerds on the internet would think he was cool.

To be fair, my mother, a secreetary from the 1960s was BLOWN AWAY at my typing ability, brought on solely because I got very good at typing things like:

heal the monk

heal me

mobs coming in

and stuff like that hehe

This was my summer of 2000 - came back to school with greatly improved typing skill. Has been a great benefit ever since and is one of the main reasons I prefer to type rather than use voice both in-game and at work. Another reason is the chance to filter my output since I tend to word things poorly and be misinterpreted.

I learned how to type because of this game. I remember when I first started using a computer I would peck at keys with two fingers, and was blown away at my mom being able to type 30-40 words per minute without looking at the keyboard. Without even trying, I almost overnight learned to type like a speed demon due to having to curse people out in LOIO and pull for my group at the same time. People in school thought I was some kind of super genius since typing was still a mandatory class at that time. Teacher ended up kicking me out of the class because she was spending too much time having to keep me busy, and they put me in horticulture instead, which sucked because I enjoyed spending my free time in typing class looking at EverQuest related stuff, especially level 50 Wizards on Ebay that I only dreamed of owning (now they would just be relatively normal wizards, maybe even bad? And Wizard isn't really a coveted class either).
