So it seems like no one's actaully solved this yet?

Or dod Rogean's idea of deleting the char UI files work for everyone who stopped posting here?

Or

Is this mainly the router/firewall issue described?

I've been having this issue since I started end of may/beginning of June regularly but I haven't been able to pinpoint the problem/solution.

anyone that's grouped with me can attest i usually crash between every 2-4 zones [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

I also did a fresh reinstall today.

I think you mean attest.

Anyway, the reason I'm here is that EQ's hung up twice so far in the past 30 minutes while I was zoning, and I haven't had this problem since I started here. First it was zoning into Befallen, then again later on zoning out into WC it did it again. I had to close the program and restart to get in.

Without going through all the posts, is there any conclusion to fixing zone crashes? I play with 5 RL friends and half of us experience zone crashes and the other half do not. It may just be a coincidence, but those of us who own the titanium pack and install from disk experience crashes. The others have gotten the files via download from file sharing.

WinEQ has helped some, while it has not made any difference to others.

Another fix some people said helped was removing the firewall on your router.

Another fix yet was...something about clicking tye bypass triangular...something on you router settings...

I haven't been able to find anything on my end that contributes to the excessive amount of zone crashes. Must just be something with the emulator.

Yeah. Very new disc install here, and I crash while zoning pretty often. Running Win7 64-Bit on a Core i7 laptop. The LD's that occur last for 20-30 minutes before returning me to the load screen. Of course I can just kill the game and reboot. It's not good for grouping when the zoning crashes really mess with the group's ability to stay together.

MY experiences.

I have VERY VERY bad ATT DSL 1.1 meg download.... very bad.. Whenever my girlfriend is on her computer downloading videos or watching youtube.. I will zone crash 70+% of the time. IF she is not using her computer I will never zone crash. I bet others are experiencing the same thing. Perhaps it's an issue of people with low bandwidth trying to zone when they are using up a good portion of their bandwidth. Perhaps the EMU is too sensitive to timing out on users who are zoning when they have low bandwidth at the time.

Anyway those are my experiences. I have tried everything listed here. What it comes down to is when my girlfriend is using bandwidth on her computer I zone crash.. when shes not i NEVER do.
