Last time IB quit, TMO took over the raid scene and got banned on several occasions for RMT as well. Does that mean they should be pro-active and start banning Forsaken accounts to prevent that from happening again?

Nah... Tmo members got banned for rmt... any guild has that. IB/TR's member base organized a GM assisted RMT operation with the same GM that raid suspended them.

Yeah everyone else is out of luck. But honestly, that's how it should be. Sure I would have personally preferred another year or so of pre-sleeperwakening Velious, but the whole reason Everquest is great is that not everyone gets to have everything. If you neckbeard hard enough you deserve to have some kind of special recognition and having loot nobody else can have is a form of that. We were all driven here by the shitty modern MMO's, which feel soulless precisely because they hold your hand and everyone gets to be a hero (and thus nobody, really). And I mean, there are still tons of high end items to get that most people will probably never have a prayer of seeing anyway.

EDIT: Oh and also all this shit already got got like, coming up on 20 years ago.
