Honestly a cool idea, though halfling rogues couldn't survive in the hole. Groups of 3 appropriately-leveled players might be able to, though.

How about a Running Man themed event? Pick an Empire or TMO runner (not a bard) and summon 1-2 people in to kill them every X interval.

Could be a run from the base to the top of the EK ramp? (would look more like Gladiators)

Qeynos to Freeport? BB docks to the Gfay zoneline along the path?

Not very watchable unless someone did a Twitch stream as it would be hard to keep up with. Just a thought.
