Well, to be fair, I set that one up as "everyone can roll" and told everyone to with no restrictions - several other items I said "only if you can use" and judging by the number of rolls, people respected that.

With that many people and so many unknowns, you have to assume people are gonna do it right...and maybe that 35k goes to a needed upgrade rather than an ephemeral pet.

That sort of stuff on the back end - stuff that I have no control over - I'm not gonna sweat as long as the rolling instructions were honored - and they were in this case.

I think that was super awesome of the GMs to spawn a second one. I'll tell ya first hand, the coordinators of this event had no idea they were going to do that. We were just hoping to see a server wide message about it.
