The Gathering Storm is IMO, the best in the series.
Along those lines: Read Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy. It's ...just..wow.

Just finished Cleric Quintet RA... awesome if ya like CLRs. Guess ill give Jordon another shot.. Wheel of time 12 ?

Quintet is an awesome series, I have a feeling RA will tie him back into the drizzt saga at some point(beyond servant to the shard).

Hopefully you aren't misdirecting me like the person who got me to buy George RR Pedophile(Martin)'s fire & ice series. I read the first book and couldn't bring myself to even start the second.
