Are your .net frameworks current? Should have 3 different ones installed iirc.

Also make sure innerspace/wineq etc are not running and fighting for file rights.
Net frameworks installed and updated. Don't have innerspace or wineq on this PC.

Memory exceptions usually are because of

missing Net Framework
missing Direct X 9.0c
WinEQ2 running at the same time
Have both, no wineq.

I get instant crash upon entering character select screen with NewUI=TRUE, changing it to NewUI=FALSE 'fixes' the problem but then I have a teeny-tiny window with the original UI. I'd be ok with it if it weren't for the fact that it takes up less than 10% of my screen and I can't modify the chat colors.

They said its a common problem and that a fix is on the way.

Go to EQMac/Resources/UIfiles. Delete or move "default" to another location. DL a custom UI, such as power of 2 or Duxa. Install under EQMac/Resources/UIfiles and rename the folder to "default." Set the NewUI to TRUE. Edit the eqclient.ini under EQMac/resources to reflect your screen res. Problem solved!

It took me a while to figure out how to get it to work, too. I hope tey fix it soon, as it's just another deterrent for potential players.

I'm trying to avoid any special UIs that are too "custom" if you catch my drift. I keep hearing about Power of 2, is similar to the stock Velious/Luclin stock UIs?

I managed to get Power of 2 to work, its running full screened though, Is there an easy way to make it windowed or do I need to download some type of plugin so I have easy access to other windows/if I decide to box.

Just got this working also. Had to download power of 2 and use that instead of default UI. Works great now. Thanks citizen and company for the help!
