So how do you get a char on beta? Is there a how-to I'm not seeing? My main is only 38 so I can't do much in velious.

log into blue server, type /beta, then type /beta again. Log into Beta server, and ask banker to beta buff you; instant lvl 60 with BiS gear

No, not BiS gear...I believe the beta buff gear was itemized off of morons playing on red. PvP centric gear to test PvE content...good call on that one.

You sure? I'm almost positive a Warrior I beta buffed had BiS, or damn near close to it. Also had a bag full of resist gear. Perhaps only certain characters are lacking?

I know for sure the SK template is based off someone on red. (the gear was mostly resist items, and the spell book gave it away, Shadowstep on the first page [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Thanks for the complement. I wish I had known when they were copying and I would have filled my bags with all the stuff in my bank as well. Oh well.

my selfishness dislikes this idea. i am guessing a bunch of casual players, like myself, were looking forward to the extra time with the holiday to play. I don't see the added value in doing it now, players like me are useless in testing. I'm un-guilded, I don't have enough guaranteed time to test any involved quest. I don't think there is any benefit to doing it over the holiday weekend as oppose to any other week.

Whatever. I know I'm wasting my time, this is their thing and they do a great job at it. Best of luck with this.
