You have a choice in what guild to be in. Either join the resistance and progress your character or be slaves to Azrael. Clear hate/fear trash mobs enough times for them and they may let your most active players join their ranks to then exploit the remaining noobs in the feeder guilds.

that giant list of guilds is mostly alt guilds of Azrael, to my knowledge, and not individual people. Save for EL, if you can believe it.

I know you guys do what you want. They put a ceiling on you though. You will never get mobs that Azrael is interested in with an EL tag. It is too easy for them to recruit your top members with the close relationship you have. It is essentially the same mix of veteran/new players as Holocaust has except all Holocaust members are treated equal.

Perhaps this has happened, or will happen. As of now, we aren't contesting any targets Azrael has interest in (planar clears, epic fights, etc) but when we can stand on our own we hope to not require an alliance. It all depends what the other side(s) are doing.

Regarding poaching members: if that happens it'll be disappointing. That isn't what EL is for though, we aren't a feeder. Any poaching done is done by AZ's own interest and that player's interest. It is not the reason EL exists.

EL is around because Azrael uses them to do trash clears and throw numbers at the opposition when needed. They don't want to be responsible for you, they don't want your deaths to show up on the leaderboards and they don't want to gear the majority of the players. The ones that do have high enough play times and find out how to get the basic gear on their own get recruited by Azrael. What EL wants or perceives as their individuality is irrelevant.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT.. we do need a lot of people for the high end Velious mobs and are trying to gear an appropriate raid force for it. I look forward to new members who have no previous Holocaust or AIM chat history getting the help they need, working up through the ranks, and becoming top of their class within the guild.

Speaking for myself but i'm sure most would agree, I don't want a tag from them. I did not join EL as a pathway to Azrael as you seem to so assuredly think it is.
