Any new players starting avoid blackburrow. Its commonly infested with higher level players pulling all the mobs in the zone to get the fangs.

Yea Blackburrow is a mess. I still find it worth hunting due to the fang's value, but I with that quest would get changed with Velious.

How crowded is unrest? Like bb with high levels killing everything?

We're in our mid teens.

16-25 people in there most of the time. Not high level XP teat-suckers like BB, no; legitimate players, but that ZEM brings out the (over)crowding.

Thanks, Frug! Maybe I'll try Runnyeye first.

Question: I assume CHA affects Pacify resist rate, is this true?

Question: Sometimes when Pacify is resisted a mob does not ago, what causes them to not agro?

Less chance of a "critical" failure I think the more charisma you have. Not worthwhile enough to be worth putting points into as a cleric, but definitely give it some thought for your enchanter [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

When you try to lull (or calm, pacify, etc) a mob, several things are checked:

- difference in level between you and the mob
- the mob's MR
- your CHA

We don't know the exact formula, but these all influence the mob's likelihood of resisting the spell. If the game determines that the lull will be resisted, it makes a second calculation to determine if it will be a "critical resist" (where the spell is resisted, and the mob aggros the caster). So, sometimes you get a resist and nothing happens, and sometimes the mob reacts angrily.

In my experience, level affects this a lot. Charisma has an effect, but you need a lot for it to be noticeable. Enchanters generally place a high priority on CHA; Clerics and other classes, much less so (but some Clerics still carry a set of +CHA gear for lulling).
