I loved all eq until GOD. But for some reason I just can't get into EQ Mac... The PC patched client just seems so laggy.

Same, I loved PoP, it was a challenge to get all the flags and beat Coirnav/Xegony/Quarm.

The turning point for me was luclin, preluclin classic = brad mcquaids vision. luclin post sony pumping out expansion severy 6 months for deeper pockets.

one could argue that luclin was classic as I believe i heard somewhere the original crew was working on it but then sold to sony during the process, just going by memory of what i thought i read.

Anyway I loved luclin raids and pop was fun all around for grouping and raiding. not sure what changed after pop but it just didnt feel like the same game. look at the god oow expansions they just dont feel like eq to me...

I mean then verant got bought, and you knew the first second you got ported to the nexus for the first time you were playing a different game.

No, you are right. IB won and just all decided to RMT off their guildbank and go play on EQMac. In fact, IB is so good they still exist now. Our eyes are clouded and we just can't see their awesomeness and domination of the P1999 server right now.

I'm sorry that people are still upset that IB left the server and made thousands of dollars when they decided they had encountered enough bullshit from various server staff. I'm also sorry we're still fairly close nit and play and troll together on lots of different servers and games currently.

Yes that is my definition of "winning" I guess. It's all in how you define it! If being the top raiding guild 2 years after Kunark was released with no release date for Velious in sight on a server with a proven history of corruption, RMTing and player hacking a year after "the other guys" took off is how you define winning then you too can be a winner!
