Aussies dont use the term stoop for front verandah, but I know the word.

Chinese youngens are stooping right now, roaming da streets recycling/upcycling others' discarded waste/junk.
The old ones hatem doing it.
They think it brings shame.

What I like about the image is that what we see as the "eyes" are just the antennae. You can see the actual eyes in these photos.
