I really don't get people freaking out about location. If you kill someone in howling stones is someone really going to be there on top of you within .4 seconds because of it? And even if they were isn't that a good thing on a PVP sever? Let's be honest this server is nihilum vs everyone else so I don't think it's like anyone's location is going to be super secret anyway.

This kind of pointless overthinking is part of why I've been frustrating playing here -- where good concepts get torn to shit on the forums usually by bluebie converts who have absolutely no clue of what actually works in practice.

Let's not forget that Devnoob swiped this entire server's population sans one guild because he took one day and didn't pussyfoot around, and just put the shit in that needed to be in. Instead of beating something around for eight months and then overcomplicating it with a crappy new feature that doesn't even resemble what people wanted to begin with (pvp exp loss says hi)

Say im a casual leveling solo in Unrest, do i really want to have every ganker know i just died there and have to think about moving to oasis?

Again its not really for me, for my security. I usually roll around with a guild, its just for casuals starting out mainly.

I dont know, its a variant, im inclined to think it will be worse most times for casuals (making them less able to pick and choose when they want to engage in pvp) but i wouldnt make it a crusade like i did for xp loss in pvp if it passed and was implemented.

It has been scientifically proven that reading YT increases male hormone levels, often inciting the need to kill in the individual. This will promote pvp, I can't see why a test trial hasn't been patched in yet.

If by server preceding this one you mean anything other than RZ, VZ or TZ live servers, you are comparing apples and oranges. This is modeled after classic pvp.

This server is about EQ and pvp, not just pvp. Yes, on those servers I can appreciate what they were about, but thats not what R99 is about. Its the whole package, and catering to one crowd at the expense of the other will only do more harm than good. We need a balance. YT is important to one crowd, anonymity is important to the other.
