rofl dude, you state a bunch of opinions and then try to passive-aggressively clown me for stating my own without evidence to back it up?

are you fucking kidding?

i dare you to try and support the argument you are apparently trying to make, which seems to be that some people should be allowed to drink and drive while others should not. i just fucking dare you.

I can do this!

There should be a certain standard under which you are no longer legally allowed to drive. Anyone who can drive above this standard should be allowed to drive. This means that there would be people who would not be allowed to drive sober (bad drivers, old people, etc), people who would not be allowed to drive after one beer, after two beers, and so on. The same amount of alcohol affects different people differently. As long as your driving ability isn't impaired enough to put you below the minimum standard, you should be allowed to drive.

Now do I trust people to make this judgement on their own? No.

How would you determine how much each individual could imbibe before driving?

You'd have to test everyone before they drive, which is obviously retarded. Its just a theoretical/perfect world thing, but it allows some people to drink and drive while others cannot.

Not really. Slow reaction times are slow. Any operation of a motor vehicle after ingestion of alcohol is fucking stupid, and only a complete dipshit would try to justify it. The world would be a much better place if anyone who would drive after drinking and their whole fucking gene pools (yes, your grandmother too) would get turned into fucking grey spots by natural disasters / terrorists / the family members of people who have been killed by drunk drivers.
slow reaction times also happen when you're tired, pissed off, distracted, singing a really good song, talking on the phone, doing ur makeup, arguing with ur wife, smoking a cigarette, emotional, etc. i am p sure most people are better at driving after one beer than they are on 2 hours of sleep. saying DRIVING AFTER HAVING ANY ALCOHOL IS MURDER + U SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM GENE POOL just shows that maybe ur the one who should be naturally selected for sterilization i m o

I think the point is, all of the things you listed are preventable. If you are too tired, don't drive. If you need to talk on your cell phone or text, pull over. If you can't sing a really good song without head banging your way into a car accident, pull over. Don't smoke while driving. Don't drive while emo. Put on your make up before you get in the car. Don't drive while high. Don't drive while drunk. Think about the fact that probably moreso than any other part of your day, your decisions before and during being behind the wheel have the highest probability of affecting those around you. Don't be a dumbfuck. Don't be selfish. Your convenience/amusement is not more valuable than another life. *shrug*
