Thats the thing. GMs wont do shit to Seafury isle, so the law of the land in my experience is any dmg = yours.

Just getting prox aggro, traditional FTE, is meaningless. If its at 100% its fair game.

It's real easy to visually see if something is agroed or not. Seafuries are not a special case. You leave mobs other people's mobs alone.
