BDA: "A healthy community of people"

Last night when I told a friend (who is also a returning player) about how BDA trained me to take my camp, he said "yeah they're the stuck up asshole guild." So I refute that "old beef" thing since I'm new to the server and so is my friend. Even the newbies know to avoid them.

And then, with my curiosity already piqued, I come here and see a 12 page rant in progress, and it's very hard not to come to the conclusion that this is a guild to avoid. I'm sure they have some great members, but unfortunately I have not met any-- maybe because my toons are still lower-level. Maybe I'm only meeting their alts.

I've seen them bring a train when they don't get FTE on a contested Venril Sathir. If I had that frapsed that would totally have been posted.

I got called an elitist today by a member of one of the big raiding guilds. How is that even possible? I just told him BFG is bad when he's not using trueshot and he should stop. And he got mad and wanted to fight me. So I windstrikered him and chopped into bits w/ my Sword of Rile because he was terrible.

Pardon my language, but the most accurate way to describe the members of BDA I've met so far is that of self-important douche bags who hold themselves above the player base.

I've perused the forums here and my experience doesn't seem like an isolated case.
