Evolution is theorised to happen over such a long period of time that I don't think I'd recognise it even if I were to 'see' it (should it be true).
We have a bunch of creatures that are 100-500 million years old that are still alive today that are virtually identical today as they were then. If that's not a long enough time than nothing is and the theory is clearly bullshit.

It's always fun to have a discussion with people holding strong opinions, and I hope you're enjoying the discussion as much as me and not feeling frustrated?
If you believe in evolution then yes I'm frustrated that I have to share this planet with someone incapable of using their brain.

Its a good point and the question why creatures might stay the same for so long is a good one. Another good opportunity for a thought experiment if you ask me.

We know genes can mutate, we know sexual reproduction happens and we know there are seletional pressures on organisms. Perhaps the creature lost some of the prerequisites/catalysts for the process? I.e. they tend not to sexually reproduce, have largely immutable DNA, have had stable selectional pressures, have large generational gaps or have a narrow genepool (e.g. if a species practically went extinct but recovered).

Whatever the truth of the world, discussing it on the internet is not going to change that truth. If your finding the topic frustrating perhaps I can suggest to take a step back and find something else more relaxing to participate in for a while?

You are either the best troll we have had here in a long time, or you are seriously ill. What kind of person says something like that?

DNA is proof of God. It contains a language and information both of which can only come from an intelligent being. Whoever created DNA also created all life and is therefor God.

If you think something like this can just happen for no apparent reason, you're simply brain dead. DNA is the smoking gun of God's existence.

DNA is proof of evolution and shared ancestry.

No lol. DNA contradicts evolution actually. The genetic code of each individual creature is unique and specific to that creature. That's why we only ever see each creature producing more of what it is. Sorry bud but the evidence is on my side. At one point DNA didn't exist btw so how does something evolve when there is no living thing to evolve from?

Well, you got that last part partially right, at least.

You're learning. You're learning.

What is the reasoning behind this statement? Is it just the mere existence of DNA that proves evolution? Is it the fact that all living organisms share at least a portion of genetic coding? Or is it something else?
