Agreed that you shouldn't need to explain the reasoning behind changes....I think the point is that had some guidelines for change been published, at least people would have had the opportunity to correct themselves and it probably would have saved Eunomia (and potentially others) some time on the cleanup legwork they were doing.

I'm confused by this general sentiment. The staff has to walk on eggshells to make sure that all of you feel respected and dont get any hurt feelings, but the reason your feelings are hurt is because you can't post whatever offensive material you want that may show disrespect to others and hurt their feelings. Not a jab at you personally Swish, but just the RnF community in general.
If anyone is ever offended by a post in RnF they are quickly told "how the internet works", and that they need to grow up and quit crying. But take away the privilege to post offensive material and its all about respect and feelings. Quite hypocritical.

1) I love Everquest
2) I love Project 1999
3) I want everyone to love Everquest and Project 1999.
4) Over my 18 months on staff, I have come to love and respect those managing this project. I would wish for all of you to love and respect them also, but I don't think I have the ability to convince you.
5) And of course I love all of you because I know you do love Everquest and Project 1999.

After 4-5 years where everything was fine, then suddenly we get censored and modded out of nowhere... people were going to ask questions.

Sorry that it came across in such a negative way. Just saying that an announcement would have saved a lot of this fallout.
