Uhm nope. IB killed what today ? Talendor ? I am looking at the Raid.php and it looks like CT,Vox and Talendor was the only Class C or FFA mobs today. Grats on Talendor IB!

I mean I'd spin it as well I guess.

HAHA who would even say "They are focusing on that PD kill count." It's the best mob in the game. If you killed nothing else you are still winning by killing PD. Literally one of the few mobs that has loot that holds up in Velious.

Hm sounds like something Class C folks was saying to BDA and Taken when the raid changes were discussed. Interesting that you guys are now trying to force a "Play style" onto other guilds.

The play styles argument is out the window now, the new pitch is preparing for velious.. just so long as that doesn't entail competing with the actual velious competition obviously.

Yeah, no idea how they think they are preparing for Velious on Kunark content. At least TMO has killed all the Sleepers mobs and IB all but Yelinak on Beta. I guess they are preparing to keep Kunark content locked down!

I don't think that was what I said, but the class system was put in place in part to remove this element from our (Class R) game so its a shame to see it reintroduced.
Raiding Alliance is a great idea, but still don't change the fact that we'd need to have 25 people neckbeard for 16 hrs (400 man hours? crazy!) and that's simply not something any of us are willing to.
We have put a lot of work into raiding over the last year, but always within reason, and we've been able to assist each other when we got the spawns at 4am - reasonable amount of dedication without demanding that people give up their wife/work factions.

So grats to Taken and BDA for being able to ask that of their members - I play EQ for recreation, not as a job, and I am not going to ask any of our members to put that kind of time into it so we can roll a dice on FTE. I thought neither of the Class R guilds was willing to do that, and that was the whole reason for the class based system, but we found recently that this wasn't the case, and that is why we are now in this FFA situation where it will look like Taken and BDA are getting mobs for free - a situation they have orchestrated knowing that this was what would most likely happen.

Unfortunately as things are right now, I don't really see that changing drastically unless a new guild shows up with that kind of intent for "competition" in Class R.
