Not every death is equal either. If you die from some flu in a modern hospital where you're just being pumped full of hope that everything is going to be alright and then if you die you're probably not even aware of it, that's one kind.

But then if you get pulled over by a fake Mountie who is upset the government closed his denture business because of the virus and then you get blasted in the face and then you crawl out of your car and the guy just shoots you two more times and walks away and you just lie there thinking wow this hurts and also I'm missing half my face, well that's another kind of death.

Data will tell you 24 people died. Data won't add 24 people to the covid toll, because obviously they died from bullets, but would have they died from bullets if it wasn't for the virus? No one will ever know the final toll.

Sure but if you want to see sentient beings perform on a stage there is nowhere in the galaxy you can go but New York if you want the best. If that's important to you on Grobuklon IV or whatever. Just sayin. I mean yeah there's definitely more shit per capita and this city it totally vulnerable to literally anything but for example the hookers, some people say Vegas or go to Russia but the best Russian girls are here already. Also, there's like three places in the world you can say you got shot in and build up some serious cred and we have two of them.

Sometimes I wonder what it's like to live in a headspace where everything is planned a decade in advance and executed without flaw globally by competent and well-coordinated shadowmen. That'd be nicer than just people making the same terrible mistakes over and over again

I read once that was the original plot of everquest but they scrapped it. Now the shadowmen just hang out in ec and lavastorm kicking rocks
