How are Alan Greenspan and Bernie Sanders pushing for the same thing? They are diametric opposites. And the only thing Greenspan pushed had to do with economics, so it can't be social issues.

one is Alan Greenspan. the other one's only substantive campaign promise would have created a program to produce hundreds of millions of Alan Greenspans. Both are of the same ethnicity, which is well-documented as the most ethnocentric in the entire world.

The fact that one said out of the side of his mouth something non-Greenspan doesn't make these people diametrically opposed. The gaze should be large and broad. Sanders is and was great.. I just think that 2016 was a hail marry for that movement (a political movement that had been shut down every chance it had to make any progress up until then) and it didnt even make it past the 50 yard line..

There is no hope for that movement any more... unless perhaps shit gets flipped turned up side down in the next 4 years, but I think it will actually just be another 4 years of boring everything.

So yea, its over for that movement. Get a job, be a shmuck, like your grandpa told your dad and his dad told him.

That you could think there is meaningful convergence of motives behind the actions of Sanders and Greenspan just shows you are choosing to ignore Sanders' political career. Nothing Sanders did as a mayor or Senator aligned ideologically with Greenspan at all. It's time to stop talking in vague omens and provide details. If you think there's something specific Sanders and Greenspan were aligned on, share it with me.
