The more you think about it the more technology has only made life on earth worse for people. Sure we live longer, but go read any post on the internet, everyone hates their lives. The happiness index's are not lies.

There's a part of me that actually can buy that technology is markebly worse than living like Indians in teepees.

If maybe technology could prove for good that it could make people less inclined to hate the other tribe, which it has only made worse. Then I might believe that one day, thousands of years from now it will provide happiness for people.

But then I watch guardians of the galaxy, or star trek, or starwars, and I see that in those worlds tech has NOT SOLVED ONE PROBLEM that we suffer from on earth. Sickness, War, Greed Famine, Crime, all of it seems to exist no matter what...

There's only 1 thing technology can provide that living in a grass hut cant: Saving us from an asteroid.

But technology is threatening world annihilations 50x more in 500 other ways.

Asteroid or nukes, the worse off the planet would be in the long run would be: if humans did it.

Im starting to become one of those people that think maybe technology really is the devil.

No not really, public school teaches you about nazis and the holocaust. That happened less than 100 years ago. Many different groups have wanted to wipe out the jews long before they were remotely successful or wealthy as a demographic.

Now, if a particular demographic of people were disproportionately held accountable relative to other demographics, it’s because those people were disproportionately involved and behind all the things the nsdap were against. We’re you taught that the nsdap tried to get literally any other country to take the prisoners that were being held in internment camps? Probably not. We’re you taught that those books being burned were medical manuals for performing gender reassignment on children? Doubt it. Did your teacher ever tel you that 95% of the deaths in the internment camps (300k TOPS) came AFTER the war once supplies and medicine ran out, thanks to allied forces bombing out the German supply lines? Extremely unlikely. Once you actually start researching these things in stead of just accepting the state sponsored McHistory version, you realize that public school isn’t about education, it’s about indoctrination. Hell, the entire point of the creation of public schools was to keep kids out of the work force because they were taking all the factory jobs from adults because they could get paid less.
